On Saturday, April 21st, the Epilepsy Foundation and Cadence Health Neurosciences Institute will be hosting “Seizure Smart Diet,” a FREE educational program that will address various ways a person’s diet can impact their epilepsy. “Seizure Smart Diet” will include presentations by medical professionals and nutritionists that will cover issues such as how the Modified Atkins Diet and other lifestyle modifications can have an affect on the well-being of a person with epilepsy. Additional healthy eating tips will be discussed.

The program will be presented by Roy Sucholeiki, MD, Director ot the Comprehensive Epilepsy Program at Central DuPage Hospital; Nicole Tracy, RN, LDN, Clinical Nutrition Manager and Dietician at Aramark of Central DuPage Hospital; and Chef Tim Meyers, Chef Instructor and Associate Professor of Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management at College of DuPage. A cooking demonstration will also be included.
