First Savers in Hoffman Estates Partners with the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago to Benefit Community

Savers, the national thrift chain with more than 320 locations across North America, is celebrating its 10th store in the Chicagoland area benefitting the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago. The celebration of the Hoffman Estates location will kick off on Tuesday, November 12 with a VIP Pre-Event from 6:00-9:00 pm. The official grand opening with be on Thursday, November 14 with an 8:45 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Savers management and representatives from the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago. The doors open at 9:00 am.   

Savers was founded on the core principle of supporting local communities – and has embraced that value by partnering with local nonprofits since 1954. The Hoffman Estates store’s partnership with the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago means Savers pays the organization for every donated item, whether it makes it to the sales floor or not. When members of the Hoffman Estates community donate, they are not only giving their goods a second life, they are also turning their otherwise unused goods into sustainable revenue for the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago. The revenue received is crucial in the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago’s mission to lead the fight to stop seizures, find a cure and overcome challenges created by epilepsy.
