Casino Night is the annual fundraising event for EFGC Peer Alliance, a recently launched board of the Epilepsy Foundation Greater Chicago. Hosted on April 12th at Prairie Production, the event is a cocktail attire casino themed night featuring Texas holdem, blackjack, and plinko. Guests are treated to an open bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres, live DJ, raffle, and dancing.
Peer Alliance is a Chicago city-based program focused on reaching out and providing a community to young adults affected by epilepsy. The founders of Peer Alliance, Katie Swan and Maria Sultemeier, both struggle with the daily realities of living with epilepsy, a condition that has no cure and can affect anyone at anytime.
Proceeds from Casino Night will support the launch of our 2015 programs. These free support programs will be the only one of its kind for this age group and demographic. We could not be more excited to provide this much-needed service that until now has been lacking in the Chicago community.
