Come check out children’s artwork by EFGC Studio E participants!
Studio E: The Epilepsy Art Therapy Program is offered by the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago (EFGC) in partnership with Lundbeck. Through a series of group sessions led by art therapists, children and adults living with epilepsy are encouraged to explore creative expression in a safe and welcoming environment.
For the 2014 summer session, participants ages 8 to 13 painted acrylic panels focusing on a hobby or talent used to help them relax and cope with stress. The session was supervised and supported by EFGCs Northwest Suburban Community Action Board (CAB). Art therapists Cherie Lusky and Beth VanDerMolen provided encouragement and creative instruction throughout the four week session. The Glenview Savers store is pleased to support the creative talents of Studio E participants! The paintings will be on permanent display as a mural at the store.
