I received a card from the organization for a donation pick up. I had already had a pickup scheduled with Amvets/Purple Hearts. When they did now show up, I called the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago. My neighbors two boy's have epilepsy so I was glad to help. The drivers were great. They even rang my bell because I forgot to put the stuff out for the pick up. They were supper friendly too! I just called for a pick up of the 20 bags of clothes that I had from our neighborhood garage sale. They are coming next week!

We never received a confirming email for today's pick up. Our front porch is loaded with at least 20 bags and boxes awaiting pick up for today. I hope someone arrives or we will be forced to forward the donations to a different charity. Also, we need two reciepts as two households are donating and one household was told that it does not reside within a pick up area.

Elaine, we would be honored to be your charity of choice for your household goods donations. If you go to the clothing/goods donation link here on our site (click on the picture of the truck), you can schedule a pickup online. You can also call 1-855-968-3662 between the hours of 7 am and 7 pm (M-F) and 8 am - 5 pm (Sat). Thank you so much for your support.

We live in Hoffman estates. Our daughter has epilepsy. We would like you to be our household goods organization. Do you ever have pick up truck in the Palatine area? Everyone around here uses AmVets or Purple Hearts out of convenience.

I am hoping that congress does something about SSI who frequently deny people with seizure disabilities. I was denied three times and they stated we are aware that you have a disability but you are able to get light seizure work. Well on 600mg dilantin/50mg gabacin and Keppra and all of which causes dizziness drowsiness and impaired balance then where in the heck can I find a job? Who will let me on their property? Why wont the doctor that made this determination sign his name and career on the line to support this decision that is causing me great strife and Im a ex Marine?

My son is now five, he's on a combination a four meds. He has MAE as well. He has twice gone a month with no seizures, and every time the dr has tried to take him off one, he starts to seize again. So, now he's back to all four and he's four days no seizures. I appreciate you sharing your experience, it's helps me to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
