Meet the Team
Ayesha Akhtar has been an Education Coordinator with the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago since 2011. She is also a Master Trainer in Diversity & Cross Cultural Awareness. Ayesha is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago, where she earned a B.B.A. in accounting, and in 2010 she earned her M.P.H. from the University of Illinois-Chicago, focusing on culturally sensitive approaches to health care. She has over 10 years of experience as a health educator in a variety of settings and is passionate about educating communities with health information to individuals live empowered and informed lives. Her service area spans a 15-mile radius from her home base of Oak Park, where she lives with her husband and two sons. Ayesha’s specialty programs include trainings for school personnel, students in grades K-12 and college-aged persons. She also specializes in trainings for African-American, Hispanic American and other diverse communities looking for culturally sensitive approaches to learning about epilepsy. Ayesha is fluent in Spanish and Urdu.

Anastasia M. McCargo has been an Education Coordinator with the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago since 2011. Anastasia works primarily in the western and southwestern suburbs of Chicago, and travels to schools, community agencies, hospitals, nursing homes and early childhood education centers promoting epilepsy education, awareness and support. She is available to provide all epilepsy related trainings and presentations, and specializes in both Seizure Training for School Personnel and Seizure Training for Childcare Personnel. Anastasia is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago, where she earned both a B.S in Psychology and a M.Ed. in Community Counseling, and is licensed in the state of Illinois as a Clinical Professional Counselor.

Tracy Schultz has been with the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago since July of 2007. She started as a Community Education Coordinator and has been the Director of Education since July of 2011. Tracy works primarily in the city of Chicago and north and northwestern suburbs. She works directly with all school-based and community-based programs, medical centers, and other community agencies to plan, organize, and implement Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago education and awareness programs. Tracy is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN where she earned a B.A. in Health and Human Performance, and has worked as a health educator since 2002.
